Comments:

I've known Herman for more than 30 years, back to the days when I worked on the Scorpions "Crazy World" album in Vancouver. We're both drummers -- we talk the same musical language -- and as a result I bonded with Herman more than the other guys in the band.

By the early 1990's Vancouver had established itself as a culinary centre, with a disproportionate number of world-class chefs and restaurants ... Bishops, Cioppinos, Global, Il Giardino, and Tojos, to name a few.

Many nights, after a day of writing and recording, we'd head out for a bite to eat. This was also a time -- and I'll never understand this -- when it was fashionable for upscale restaurants to serve a ridiculously tiny portion on a large plate, and charge you a fortune for it ... the worst part being, after an appetizer and a main course, invariably you were still hungry!

On more than a few occasions Herman and I would simply order a second main course. This prompted us to name ourselves (in German) "Zwei Hungrige Trommler" ... or "Two Hungry Drummers".
Lyrics:

I've been lonely
I've been waiting for you
I'm pretending and that's all I can do
The love I'm sending
Ain't making it through to your heart

You've been hiding - never letting it show
Always trying to keep it under control
You've got it down and you're well
On the way to the top
But there's something that you forgot

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away
What about love
I only want to share it with you
You might need it some day

I can't tell you what you're feeling inside
I can't sell you what you don't want to buy
Something's missing and you got to
Look back on your life
You know something here just ain't right

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away
What about love
I only want to share it with you
What about love
Don't let it slip away

Solo

I've been lonely
I've been waiting for you
I'm pretending and that's all I can do

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away

What about love
I only want to share it with you
What about love
You might need it some day

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away

What about love
You might need it some day
