After a tumultuous career that began in Halifax in 1969 -- with numerous personnel changes along the way -- April Wine finally disbanded in the mid 1980s.

Vocalist Myles Goodwin retained the right to use the band name and recorded Walking Through Fire in 1986 as an "April Wine" project.

The album featured Myles Goodwin and Brian Greenway on guitars, Daniel Barbe on keyboards, Jean Pellerin on bass and Marty Simon on drums.
