Formed in 1997, "The Janet Theory" are an indie band from Chatham, Ontario.

Mat Drew - vocals, percussion / Jesse Verleye - bass, backing vocals / Shawn Beaulieu - guitars, backing vocals / Dave Richie - guitars / Dave Major - drums, backing vocals.

Shawn Beaulieu, one of the band's guitarists says:

"The song was a favourite of ours and also has great meaning to us in our lives personally and simply the fact that we are Canadian."
